How to Use RealHack 3.5 to Enable RealView in SolidWorks 2010 - 2013
If you are a SolidWorks user who wants to enhance the appearance and realism of your 3D models, you might be interested in using RealView. RealView is a feature that allows you to apply advanced shading, reflections, and shadows to your models, making them look more realistic and appealing. However, RealView is only available for certain graphics cards that are certified by SolidWorks. If you have a graphics card that is not supported by RealView, you might be wondering if there is a way to enable it on your system.
The answer is yes, thanks to a tool called RealHack. RealHack is a small program that modifies the registry of your Windows system to trick SolidWorks into thinking that you have a supported graphics card. This way, you can enable RealView on any graphics card and enjoy its benefits. In this article, we will show you how to use RealHack 3.5 to enable RealView in SolidWorks 2010 - 2013.
Step 1: Download and Install RealHack 3.5
The first step is to download and install RealHack 3.5 on your computer. You can find the download link at the end of this article. After downloading the zip file, extract it to a folder of your choice. You should see two files: RealHack.exe and readme.txt. Double-click on RealHack.exe to run it.
Step 2: Select Your SolidWorks Version
After running RealHack, you will see a simple interface with four buttons: SW2010, SW2011, SW2012, and SW2013. These buttons correspond to the different versions of SolidWorks that are supported by RealHack. Select the button that matches your SolidWorks version. For example, if you have SolidWorks 2012 installed on your computer, click on the SW2012 button.
Step 3: Restart Your Computer
After selecting your SolidWorks version, you will see a message saying "Registry updated successfully". This means that RealHack has modified your registry to enable RealView on your graphics card. However, the changes will not take effect until you restart your computer. Therefore, close any programs that you have open and restart your computer.
Step 4: Enable RealView in SolidWorks
After restarting your computer, open SolidWorks and load a 3D model of your choice. You should see a new button on the toolbar that looks like a sphere with four arrows pointing outwards. This is the RealView button. Click on it to enable RealView on your model. You should notice an improvement in the appearance and realism of your model.
Step 5: Enjoy RealView
Congratulations! You have successfully enabled RealView in SolidWorks using RealHack 3.5. You can now enjoy the benefits of advanced shading, reflections, and shadows on your models. You can also adjust the settings of RealView by clicking on the Options button next to the RealView button. Here you can change the scene background, ambient occlusion, perspective, and more.
